Guernsey Airport – GCI Guernsey
Guernsey Airport is located in Guernsey, Channel Islands in the United Kingdom and the biggest airport in the area occupied by the Bailiwick of Guernsey. This international airport is situated in Forest, Guernsey and is 2.5 miles from St. Peter Port. GCI has routes to several European countries and mostly to Great Britain. Best Time to Visit
The airport’s old terminal officially opened in 1939 but was torn down in 2004. The pieces were used to create the foundation of a new terminal to build a new passenger walkway and more aircraft stands. The construction of the new building only took 21 months to complete.
The new terminal was able to attend to over 900,000 passengers but can accommodate up to 1.25 million visitors in a year. GCI also serves the city of St. Helier.
